I grow this Japanese blood grass on a hot sunny slope, the red in the leaves looks great along with the orange flowers of Sandersonia aurantiaca & the blue of Adenophora triphylla. It has a delicate refined appearance but is very hardy & clumps rather nicely. It also looks great mass planted around our pond. Divisions. Around. 40cm high.
